All 1,225,507 KCPE candidates who  did the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination are likely to establish their performance today.

In the previous 2020 KCPE EXAM, 8,091 pupils managed to score 400 marks and above, another 282,090 managed 300 to 399 marks.It is important to note also that a whooping 589,027 scored 200 to 299 marks out of thje possible 500! Another group of 299,677 candidates according to the statistics presented by KNEC (2020) got 100 to 199 marks.

As is the norm in the country ,all those candidates who scored 400 marks and above seamlessly earned themselves direct admission to national schools save for those candidates from private primary schools.

The number of candidates who sat for the KCPE examination this year (2021) increased from 1,191,752 (2020) to 1,225,507. The number of KCPE examination centers increased too from 28,316 to 28,467. An increase of 151 new centers.

Kenyans are expecting improvement in this year’s performance compared to last year’s following some sources confirmation that this year’s candidates have performed better in English and Kiswahili core subjects.

It is worthwhile noting that this year’s KCPE exams standardization for Mathematics is 85%, Science stoos at 84%, Social studies and Religion at 86% while Kiaswahili was fixed at 97%

The cabinet Secretary , ministry of Education, professor George Magoha while addressing a press conference last week intimated that script markng had been completed and that he was expecting to release the results officially this week( the 28th or 29th of March)

” In terms of KCPE, I think we can more or less work with Monday or Tuesday according to president Uhuru Kenyatta’s diary”, Professor Magoha quiped last week.

Reliable sources intimate that by last evening, all indicatione pointed at today’s release confirming that all plans were complete.

Professor Magoha confirmed that,” On marking of exams, it is already done and we are just doing a few things here and there to ensure that there are no gaps”

KCPE RESULTS- The 2021/2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam results have been released.

The results are now available, online. Candidates who sat for the exam can check their results using three ways:

  • Using  KNEC SMS code 20076
  • Using an online KNEC portal
  • Visiting respective school 

CHECKING KCPE 2021/2022 RESULTS USING SMS CODE 20076

This is the most effective and fastest way of checking for the results. To get KCPE results 2021/2022 by SMS a candidate is required to send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076

The service is available via the three network providers in the country Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom networks. Send the SMS in the Format: IndexNumberKCPE.

Do not leave a space between Index number and KCPE; Also write KCPE in Capital letters.

The cost of each SMS is Sh.25.

CHECKING KCPE 2021/2022 RESULTS USING KNEC ONLINE PORTAL

To use this method to check 2021/2022 results you only need to remember your index number and access your mobile phone or computer.

Here is the procedure:

  • Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
  • Check  for the KCPE Results tab, click on it
  • Select the year you sat for the Exams
  • Enter your Index number.
  • Finally click the Submit button.
  • Your KCPE results should show on the screen after a while.
